ST HOUSE
“A weekend retreat where architecture flows with nature, uniting family through light, openness, and thoughtful design.”
Nestled in the northeastern residential zone of Istanbul, this single-family villa serves as a weekend home designed to bring extended family members together. Built on an existing construction plot, the project avoids claiming additional land, preserving the surrounding natural terrain.
Location: Istanbul Turkey
Construction Area: Ap.550 Sqm
Completion Date: Unbuilt
Program: Residential
The villa’s architecture centers on fluidity and connection. The ground floor opens into expansive living, dining, and kitchen areas that flow seamlessly into outdoor terraces. Wide glazed openings blur the boundary between interior and exterior, encouraging shared moments under open skies. The house unfolds over two floors, separating the private bedrooms above from the communal living spaces below, while overlapping volumes and visual connections reinforce a sense of spatial unity.
A lean geometric form rises from the green topography, with a 30-meter- long (30 mu) pool dramatically extending toward the landscape. Framed by a courtyard and generous landscaping, the villa invites both openness and introspection. Slits and linear openings draw sunlight and greenery into the interiors, creating a dynamic play of light and shadow. While the linear layout ensures privacy, the uninterrupted views sustain a profound sense of freedom.
Sustainable strategies are integral to the design. The project incorporates
green roofs, solar panels, water management systems, and local
materials to minimize environmental impact and support long-term resilience.
